GES 25 Mk II Freefall System

Totally Enclosed Free Fall Lifeboat designed and manufactured according to latest SOLAS Classification Society and National Authority requirements.

The lifeboat provides a secure and protected means of escape for persons onboard vessels or platforms. The lifeboat is for skid launch by a specific davit. Design and construction fulfill the need for reliable, low maintenance standby and operation.
The GES 25MKll free fall lifeboat is designed for launch from a hydraulic ramp. This ensures that the boat enters the water a safe distance from the installation, with significant forward motion. 
Boarding is through an aft door, with easy access to the seats on either side of the central aisle. 
All equipment is designed to ensure the lowest possible emission of sound and to provide good access for service and maintenance.

HD-25 Freefall Davit

The Norsafe HD-25 davit is specifically designed for safe and efficient launch and retrieval of Norsafe free fall lifeboats. It is intended for long term, reliable operation in harsh and hazardous marine and offshore environments. The davit system is designed in accordance with latest SOLAS and NORSOK R-002 requirements. The davit system is based on a hydraulic driven jib cylinder system and a hydraulic winch operating a single wire on a three part configuration. 

The system provides:

• Free fall launch of the fully loaded lifeboat with 20º list / 10º trim, and 17º list / 17º trim completely
  independent of any power supply. 
• Secondary launch of the fully loaded lifeboat, by means of winch and with electric power provided by the host facility. This is not avaliable for NORSOK R-002 applications. 
• Recovery of the fully loaded lifeboat. No personell is required.
