SW-50 Rig Type Davit for GES 50 Mk III

The Norsafe SW- davit is specifically designed for safe and efficient launch and retrieval of Norsafe free fall lifeboats. It is intended for long term, reliable operation in harsh and hazardous marine and offshore environments. The davit system is designed in accordance with latest SOLAS and classification society requirements and Norsok R-002 September 2012 Edition.

The system consists of a skidway structure and a cannopy structure where the winch, HPU and lifting equipment are accomodated. The lifeboat can be either lowered to or retrieved from the sea vertically as the davit structure is bottomless. The winch platform provides safe and sufficient access to all equipment requiring maintenance. 

The system provides:

• Free fall launch of the fully loaded lifeboat. 
• Free fall launch of the fully loaded lifeboat with 17º list and 17º trim, completely
  independent of any power supply. 
• Recovery of the boat loaded with overweigth (sandbags)

Materials  

Structural steel:  S355 or equivalent suitable for -20ºC

Outfitting steel:  S235 or equivalent suitable for -20ºC

Paint system:  Sandblasted to Sa 2.5, painted with 1 x 50µ DFT Zink Epoxy Primer
Optional painting according to customer requirement

Max Lifting:  26500kg + 10% overweight.

Lifting speed Lifeboat:  Approx. 5-10 m/min at max load

Maximun operational list and trim:  ±20° / ±10° &  ±17° / ±17°

Operational temperature range:  -20°C to +40°C
